Style Spotlight: Ruffled Skirts
The Spring 2009 RTW collections are bursting with hijab-friendly outfits and ideas. First up is Chanel; these looks caught my eye with the full length skirts. I love the delicate ruffled tiers and girly prints. They also incorporate boleros; which are a great cover up for arms when the sleeves are long enough:

If you're liking this look, Mango has a beautiful lilac skirt in right now. The key is to keep the rest of the outfit relatively simple. I've chosen to add a loose silver top and handbag. This open-front cardigan from Uniqlo gives a similar bolero effect to the Chanel looks above, but still offers coverage at the back. A delicate lilac hijab, simple mules and a flower ring finish off this feminine outfit - perfect for an outdoor party or wedding:
